How It Works

Pre-Tuning Setup: Your system should be fully installed and operational, with all speakers, amplifiers, crossovers, routing, and signal paths ready for verification before your appointment. Manual gain adjustments may be necessary for non-VXi / MVi amplifiers used in the system. Total Tuning can provide guidance if needed.

Computer and Internet Requirements: JL Audio VXi / MVi systems can be tuned with a single Mac or Windows-based laptop. No additional screens or second laptop are required for this service. The laptop must have the correct JL Audio software installed, TeamViewer installed and ready, access to the JL Audio MAX™ system, and a reliable internet connection faster than 20 Mbps.

Tuning Process: During your scheduled appointment, Total Tuning will remotely access the required software, verify setup conditions, measure the system, and complete the DSP tuning process. This Customer-Owned MAX™ service provides the same professional tuning approach as our Full Service Tune, but is priced separately because the measurement equipment is already available on your end.
